What’s happening:
This usually means you’ve opened the wrong version of the HISTORY Vault app on your Roku. Roku has two different versions of the app that look very similar but work with separate subscriptions.
Why this happens:
HISTORY Vault (standalone app) — for members who signed up through Lifetime Movie Club directly (or via Apple, Google, Amazon, or Roku billing).
HISTORY Vault on The Roku Channel — a completely separate subscription service managed by Roku.
If you open the Roku Channel version but your subscription is with Lifetime Movie Club directly, the app won’t recognize your account and will only show the “Start Free Trial” screen.
How to fix it:
From your Roku home screen, go to Streaming Channels › Search Channels.
Search for HISTORY Vault.
Choose the one published by A+E Global Media and install or open it directly:
HISTORY Vault on Roku Channel StoreOpen that app from your home screen (not through The Roku Channel).
Select Sign In and enter your HISTORY Vault email and password.
If you originally subscribed through The Roku Channel, you’ll need to access your subscription within The Roku Channel app and manage billing at my.roku.com.
